TriOS manufacture high-quality, precision probes (photometers, fluorometers, radiometers) and systems for water quality monitoring in wastewater treatment, industrial applications, drinking water quality and environmental monitoring.

Photometers

A photometer is an instrument that measures the strength of electromagnetic radiation in the range from ultraviolet to infrared and including the visible spectrum. The TriOS range of photometers provides the benefits of real-time monitoring, without reagents and nanocoated windows combined with compressed air flushing for long operating times without cleaning. The robust design and unified platform of all TriOS photometers also facilitate standardised spare parts and consumables systems.

TriOS Fluorometers are manufactured with a nano-coating to guard against fouling of the optical window to minimise maintenance.

enviroFlu

The enviroFlu is an immersion sensor for the measurement of PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and oil-in-water. The use of UV fluorescence used by this probe is far more sensitive than that of conventional absorption or infrared scattering processes. Offering highly sensitive (with measurement ranges from 0-5000 ppb for PAH and 0-15 ppb for oil-in-water), real-time monitoring without the use of reagents or the need to prepare and test samples the enviroFlu is suitable for a wide range of applications from drinking water monitoring, leakage detection in cooling and wastewater streams, as well as environmental monitoring.

By implementing the G2 interface the RAMSES can be easily configured via web-browser.

eCHEM Sensors

TriOS eCHEM sensors consist of a small cell holding an electrolytic solution. The solution needs a specific gas or agent in order to produce an electrical signal. When the specific gas/agent passes through a permeable membrane and contacts the solution, an electrical signal is produced that is proportional to the amount of gas/agent present.

SolidCAL HC

The SolidCAL solid secondary standard enables fast function and calibration checks of the TriOS enviroFlu-HC fluorometer for PAH detection and the nanoFlu fluorometer for the detection of chl-a, CDOM or phycocyanin. The simple use of the standard ensures fast, accurate device verification, even on-site. In addition to the standard, the SolidCAL includes a cleaning fluid and carrier.

FieldCAL

The FieldCAL secondary standard enables reliable calibration and function tests of the RAMSES radiometers in the field. Thanks to the special design, radiance (ARC), as well as irradiance (ACC) sensors can be checked via the use of the adapter supplied in the set. Small dimensions and a sturdy transport case make FieldCAL a useful tool for light measurements in the field.

Sustainability is behind everything TriOS do.

TriOS attach great importance to stay sustainable and in harmony with nature, especially as an industrial company. That is why TriOS have  equipped their rooftops with solar panels, so that 750 panels are now generating sustainable solar energy to cover about 60% of TriOS’ energy demands. To compensate the CO2 emissions that arise in the different production stages, the TriOS site is designed very naturally being a habitat for various plants and animals.
