A photometer is an instrument that measures the strength of electromagnetic radiation in the range from ultraviolet to infrared and including the visible spectrum. The TriOS range of photometers provides the benefits of real-time monitoring, without reagents and nanocoated windows combined with compressed air flushing for long operating times without cleaning. The OPUS is the latest generation of spectral sensors for the measurement of nitrogen and carbon compounds in sewage treatment plants, industrial applications, environmental monitoring and drinking water monitoring. The OPUS delivers reliable readings for NO3-N, NO2-N, organic ingredients (CODeq, BODeq, DOCeq, TOCeq) and a number of other parameters. The NICO is a UV photometer for the determination of nitrate in sewage treatment plants, environmental monitoring and drinking water monitoring. Using three detection channels to enable precise optical determination of nitrate by absorption, taking into account turbidity and organic substances that impede other products on the market. The NICO offers low-cost, real-time monitoring without reagents or the need to prepare test samples. When equipped with the G2 interface featuring web browser configuration and internal data logger, integration into third-party systems has never been simpler.
The LISA UV utilises long-lasting, energy-efficient UV LED technology for the real-time measurement of organic materials in sewage treatment plants, environmental monitoring, drinking water monitoring, UV-disinfection systems, and the food industry. The LISA UV is available with digital or analogue output and can be configured for direct output of BODeq, CODeq, TOCeq and UVT without reagents or the use of test samples. When combined with the G2 interface the sensor can be easily integrated into existing process control systems and configured via smartphone, tablet or laptop.
VIPER is an in-situ spectrophotometer to determine the colour of liquids using hyperspectral attenuation in the wavelength range of 360 nm to 720 nm, enabling detailed determination of multiple SAC436 parameters at the same time. Time-consuming and expensive sampling is eliminated by standardised, safe and objective in-situ measurements. VIPER can be used in aggressive media as it is available in multiple path lengths as well as stainless steel or titanium housings, along with a nanocoated optical window that protects against fouling. Typically the applications for VIPER are water quality monitoring, environmental monitoring, colour measurement, quality assurance, petrochemicals, industry and food industry.
LISA enables low-cost colour measurement of SAC436 parameters in the wavelength range of 380 nm to 620 nm via the use of two different LEDs for long-term stable measurement. With an optional titanium housing, the LISA colour can be used for applications in aggressive media within industrial applications, environmental monitoring and drinking water monitoring. Simple, flexible integration into existing third party systems is assured via the use of the G2 interface.
OSCAR is a digital hyperspectral integrating cavity absorption meter that utilises PSICAM (Point Source Integrating Absorption Meter) via 12 LEDs in the wavelength range of 360 to 750 nm. With a flow-through design and availability in either stainless steel or titanium, OSCAR is suitable for both laboratory use and in-situ profiling and moored applications. Internal data logging and low power consumption make the sensor suitable for autonomous measurements.
A Fluorometer is an instrument that measures the fluorescence or light emitted by different fluorescing objects. Fluorescence is the emission of light of a specific part of the light spectrum and denoted as parts per billion (ppb) or micrograms per litre (µg/l). The TriOS range of fluorometers provides the benefits of real-time monitoring, with high sensitivity and selectivity, without reagents or the need to prepare and test samples. TriOS Fluorometers are manufactured with a nano-coating to guard against fouling of the optical window to minimise maintenance.
The enviroFlu is an immersion sensor for the measurement of PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and oil-in-water. The use of UV fluorescence used by this probe is far more sensitive than that of conventional absorption or infrared scattering processes. Offering highly sensitive (with measurement ranges from 0-5000 ppb for PAH and 0-15 ppb for oil-in-water), real-time monitoring without the use of reagents or the need to prepare and test samples the enviroFlu is suitable for a wide range of applications from drinking water monitoring, leakage detection in cooling and wastewater streams, as well as environmental monitoring.Â
The nanoFlu is a submersible, miniature fluorometer for the detection of CDOM (coloured dissolved organic matter) or chlorophyll a, phycocyanin, rhodamine, fluorescein with high sensitivity and selectivity. Long term stability of measurements is ensured through a combination of low power consumption and nano-coating of the optical windows to minimise fouling. Applications for the nanoFlu include the monitoring of waterways as well as drinking water monitoring and wastewater treatment systems. Equipped with the TriOS G2 interface the nanoFlu can be integrated easily into existing processes and configured via smartphone, tablet or laptop using a web browser.
The matrixFlu VIS is a highly compact, real-time fluorometer that no only detects single values, but can measure a 4X4 matrix of wavelengths via its special optical arrangement. Primarily used for the detection of algae (cyanobacteria, green algae etc) and CDOMÂ (coloured dissolved organic matter) the matrixFlu VIS requires no test samples to be prepared or reagents to be used. Applications for the matrixFlu VIS include drinking water production and treatment, raw water treatment and environmental monitoring.

The RAMSES provides the benefits of ultra-small size and weight with very low power consumption making them especially suitable for a range of hand-held and autonomous applications such as installation on ships, field measurements, climate research and water quality monitoring. Available as a modular system, in stainless steel or titanium, with accessories and special solutions, increase the cost-effectiveness and flexibility of the RAMSES. Equipped with an internal data logger with 2GB storage provides the opportunity for self-sufficient measurement operation with the need for a separate controller. TriOS eCHEM sensors consist of a small cell holding an electrolytic solution. The solution needs a specific gas or agent in order to produce an electrical signal. When the specific gas/agent passes through a permeable membrane and contacts the solution, an electrical signal is produced that is proportional to the amount of gas/agent present.

The digital free chlorine sensor is an electromechanical sensor for measuring the chlorine concentration in drinking water, swimming pools and seawater, while distinguishing from inorganic chlorine products (chlorine gas, hypochlorite etc). The measuring method has a reduced pH dependency so that pH fluctuations only have a limited impact on the measurement signal.
The chlorine dioxide sensor is an electromechanical sensor for measuring the chlorine dioxide concentration in water. The range of application of the sensor covers almost all water qualities and treatments. It can also be used in seawater. Thanks to a special membrane system, the sensor is particularly resistant to chemicals and surfactants.

TriBox3 is a digital 4-channel measurement and control system for all TriOS digital sensors. Featuring a 7-inch touch display and intuitive interface for easy configuration, a built-in solenoid valve to allow for compressed air cleaning of the sensors and an integrated relay to trigger alarms or control external devices. Along with low power consumption, robust aluminium housing and selectable Modbus RTU (RS232 or RS485) interfaces making the TriBox3 ideal for environmental monitoring, drinking water and wastewater treatment applications.
The TriBox Mini is a digital 2-channel controller compatible with all TriOS digital sensors. Featuring 2 digital sensor outputs and two 4…20 mA outputs, integrated data logger with service book. All of the measured values and diagnostics data that are saved can be selected using the integrated web browser.Â
The HS100 G2 DIN rail interface module is compatible with all TriOS digital sensors. Featuring G2 interface with WiFi for DIN rail mounting (45mm wide). WiFi can be switched on/off, Modbus RTU (RS485) and Modbus TCP/IP.
CALs are solid secondary standards used to verify the function and calibration need of the TriOS sensors. A standard is available for each TriOS Fluorometer, also in different concentrations.
Sold as a set with two calibration standards the DryCAL makes possible highly precise validation of the corresponding enviroFlu sensor. Every DryCAL corresponds precisely to a certain sensor and is calibrated to specific properties, which significantly increases the precision of the calibration.
The SolidCAL solid secondary standard enables fast function and calibration checks of the TriOS enviroFlu-HC fluorometer for PAH detection and the nanoFlu fluorometer for the detection of chl-a, CDOM or phycocyanin. The simple use of the standard ensures fast, accurate device verification, even on-site. In addition to the standard, the SolidCAL includes a cleaning fluid and carrier.
The FieldCAL secondary standard enables reliable calibration and function tests of the RAMSES radiometers in the field. Thanks to the special design, radiance (ARC), as well as irradiance (ACC) sensors can be checked via the use of the adapter supplied in the set. Small dimensions and a sturdy transport case make FieldCAL a useful tool for light measurements in the field.

The G2 interface box is designed to easily configure and control all TriOS G2 sensors via an integrated web interface, which can be accessed via WiFi or Ethernet connection. The web interface can be accessed through any web browser.Â
The TTrig is a measurement interval switch designed for use with the OPUS and NICO photometers. The TTrig features an additional connection for commissioning and controlling the W55 Wiper. Due to its low standby power, it’s ideally suited for operation with a battery for several months of maintenance-free operation of remote or self-sufficient measuring stations.
The ultrasonic FlowCell combines the bypass installation with integrated ultrasound cleaning. Ultrasonic sound prevents deposits from forming on the measurement windows of the sensor. The built-in viewing window and the illumination window allow the state of the optical window to be monitored at any time.
The FlowCell FC68 is used for bypass installations of enviroFlu. The measurement medium is passed directly through the cell, making measurement without a reagent on land possible. The FlowCell FC48 is used for bypass installation of the TriOS 48mm photometers with different path lengths available.
The FlowCell for chlorine sensors allows integrating the free chlorine and the chlorine dioxide sensor into a bypass installations.
The W55 Wiper offers an additional cleaning option for all TriOS photometers with a path length up to 10mm. In only a few steps the wiper housing can be attached to the sensor and offers a reliable cleaning of the measuring windows. This accessory can also be used in seawater in a depth of up to 10m.
The TriOS float is the ideal solution where water levels are prone to fluctuations. The float comes with both 48mm (photometers) and 68mm (enviroFlu) diameter sensor brackets. One sensor at a time can be attached to the float. The float stays on the surface of the water with the sensor always on the medium. The float can easily be removed via the handle and side attachments of stainless steel cables prevent the float from being carried away.
VALtub is used for the validation of the OPUS, NICO, LISA and LISA colour photometers.
The compact AirShot compressed air cleaning system works with pulses of compressed air, which significantly reduces the amount of air needed providing a more efficient clean. The Airshot can be used with both a standard compressor or the TriBox3. By default the cleaning setting is 15 seconds in 15 minutes, however, the activation time and cleaning interval can be manually set.

The TriOS bypass panel makes it possible to monitor water quality on-site. The sensor is passed through the FlowCells and an analysed for pH, conductivity, turbidity and chlorine. The panel comes in 3 pre-configured options depending on application.
The EGC Water Analyzer is a measurement cabinet to determine the various parameters in wash water from exhaust gas cleaning systems on ships. It can be equipped with three types of sensors: the enviroFlu for PAH, the TTurb for turbidity and the TpH-D for the pH value. The flow rate, the temperature and the turbidity-corrected PAH value can also be determined.
The new TriOS sample collection system is a stationary sampler with integrated measurement technology in a stainless steel housing. It uses thermostatic control for automatic sample extraction according to the vacuum principle. Up to 12 sample containers can be used.
TriOS attach great importance to stay sustainable and in harmony with nature, especially as an industrial company.
