There are also variants for use in explosive atmospheres, to prevent overfilling in compliance with WHG, and with marine certification (GL). Besides the rugged LFV310 standard device, there are LFV330 tube-extended variants for reliable vertical mounting to bridge sensing ranges up to 6 m. Level Sensors
Aventum’s level sensors are used to monitor, maintain, and measure product levels while undergoing industrial processing. Level sensors detect product levels, then convert the height into electronic signals which are sent to other devices in the processing system in order to maintain the desired levels. These sensors can mostly be found in manufacturing and automotive applications, but are also commonplace in household appliances such as ice makers. Level Switches
Level switches, similar to level sensors, serve to measure and maintain liquid and solid levels during industrial processing, however there is a slight difference between the two. Level switches determine whether the level has reached a certain predetermined point in its container, usually a critically low or high level. The switch then communicates with other elements of the processor, such as actuators, to stop the unwanted emptying or overflow of a processing vessel such as a silo.
